Responses to CB Thank You letters?
I send out thank you's 3 days ago to 3 attorneys and an HR guy. I haven't gotten any responses. Bad sign? Do they normally respond to thank you's if they liked you?

Only did one CB, sent thank yous, got no response, then got an offer a week later. Just one data point, but I wouldn't take it as a bad sign.

5 interviews during a CB, thank you's to everyone, and only one very curt response. Offer a week later. You're still in the game.Anonymous User wrote:Only did one CB, sent thank yous, got no response, then got an offer a week later. Just one data point, but I wouldn't take it as a bad sign.

TY to 3 of 10 ppl I met on a CB. 1 replied. Offer weeks later.
The vast majority of TYs I sent this summer went unanswered. Whatever few answers there were did not correlate with CBs or offers -- AT ALL. --> There is absolutely nothing to read into answers to TYs. Nothing.

You'll get few responses. Eventually the circle jerk of "thank you for thanking me for thanking you" has to stop.
It means nothing.
It means nothing.

I dunno, I've found both this year and in the past that there was a high correlation between thank you note responses and offers. Not always, but that only proves that it's not perfect correlation.

Too small of a sample, and biased.

Yeah that too, but I like to start with a representative or fair sample before I bash people on the correlation argument.
