Does anyone know how quickly Wachtell lets you know whether you have the offer?

I'd say so. I got dinged at the Wachtell screener, but easy CBs from every other V10. Top 5-6% at HLS, too. Already three offers from the 10, 2 of them in the V5.

yes

I got callbacks at every V10 I applied to, however, I didn't get an offer at everyone. I did get offers from CSM and S&C though. I don't know why I got dinged at a couple of the other V10s.

I think there's a bit of randomness. Wachtell CB coming up and offer at Cravath, but DPW ding -- guy at the screener couldn't care less what I was saying and was a huge jerk. Landed s&c, stb, pw etc. callbacks though.

well my credentials put me well within their target

plus I really don't want to work for many other firms

I would consider it a HUGE disappointment if I didn't get an offer

Those people should develop similar standards for the exercise of self-control and discretion, learning not to "freak out" about things that are outside of their control and then post about them on message boards.

People freak out about a lot of things outside of their control and vent about it. It's called human nature. If you have an issue with that, talk to a psychiatrist.

I interviewed at WLRK and they said they're not giving out offers until they interview everyone from a select school. Since they only really recruit from 5 schools HYSCN, more than one person should have gotten an offer and we would be hearing more about those offers.

Don't really think what he wrote was all that douchey. If you have insane stats, then I don't see what's wrong with saying that not getting an offer would be a huge disappointment.
