Re: Fried Frank's Summer Class Size
no real knowledge and thus no real basis for answering, but it could just be that fewer attorneys are leaving and thus they don't need to hire as many. could also be that they're hiring more conservatively with the expectation of offering employment to every summer.Anonymous User wrote:2010: 41

I think they've traditionally done 100% offers.crazyblink653 wrote:could also be that they're hiring more conservatively with the expectation of offering employment to every summer.Anonymous User wrote:2010: 41

Anybody have a rough idea on the callback to offer ratio for Fried Frank?

Re: Fried Frank's Summer Class Size
Fried Frank got killed in the recession, much worse than many other firms. It seems to have bounced back somewhat, however:
-Revenue decline of 9%, PPP decline of 23% in 2008: http://www.law.com/jsp/article.jsp?id=1 ... hbxlogin=1
-Revenue decline of 13%, PPP increase of 6% in 2009, largely because the firm lost 18% of its lawyers and 14% of its equity partners: http://amlawdaily.typepad.com/amlawdail ... frank.html
-Two rounds of layoffs and deferred start dates: http://abovethelaw.com/2009/03/nationwi ... c-layoffs/
http://blogs.wsj.com/law/2008/08/20/fri ... rms-staff/
-Revenue increase of 11%, PP increase of 28% in 2010: http://amlawdaily.typepad.com/amlawdail ... frank.html
SA numbers might just be a reflection of what is now a smaller firm.
