Has anyone actually been on/scheduled (or know anyone who has been on) a Jackson Walker San Antonio CB? I'm interested in this in general, and I'd specifically like to know if anyone from UT has heard from this office.

Sorry not from UT, but have a JW SA CB next week. (SMU) Anyone else had one or scheduled already?

Had a jw callback. Don't go to ut. Apparently the first year associate they hire gets to enforce collections against farmers for a major pesticide corporation. Yay:/

Never quite understood all the anons that go around on TLS...but anyways, I've been compiling posts that I've seen in the HLS EIP thread for the TX people. EIP for us ended last friday, so it has been 1 week exactly.

For Houston, confirmed cbs from:

Baker Botts, Vinson & Elkins, Andrews Kurth, Haynes & Boone, Thompson & Knight, King & Spalding, Locke Lord, Bracewell & Guiliani

^add Latham and Watkins and Susman to this list for Houston based on this thread

While I'm at it, I'll compile this thread too for all cities:

Dallas, confirmed cbs from ALL schools:

Fulbright, Gibson Dunn, Thompson & Knight, V&E, Baker Botts, Weil Gotshal, Haynes Boone, Jackson Walker (and Ft. Worth), Locke Lord, Andrews Kurth, Baker & McKenzie, Bracewell, Hunton & Williams, Strasburger, Figari Davenport, Jones Day, Alston, Patton Boggs

Austin, confirmed cbs from ALL schools:

Baker Botts, Scott Douglas, Jackson Walker, Andrews Kurth, Locke Lorde

San Antonio, confirmed cbs from ALL schools:

Jackson Walker, Cox Smith, Haynes Boone, Bracewell, Fulbright

Checking in from SMU. For Dallas cb's you can add the following (half are personal confirmations the other half straight from a close friend):

Hunton & Williams, Strasburger & Price (Frisco and Dallas), Figari Davenport, Jones Day, Alston + Bird, Patton Boggs, Baker & McKenzie.

I've heard second-hand rumors on Akin Gump, Carrington Coleman, and Zelle Hoffman.

Gardere Houston sent out an email telling applicants to hold tight. Apparently Gardere Houston is going to wait until all OCI's are complete to decide on cb's. This may explain the Gardere Dallas delay as well?

What makes you think that? Not that you're wrong - you probably are right, especially given that I don't keep up with this biz as much as I should - but the recent Texas Lawyer blog post/article quoting the Gardere hiring partner (Dallas office) seems to indicate they'd decided to hire at least a couple this summer...?

doesn't that just mean that Gardere Houston won't be interviewing y'all at OCI but will be at the Houston Interview Program instead?

it just doesn't make sense for Gardere Dallas to cancel its summer program yet continue participating at OCIs even now.

I read it as "Dallas canceled, Houston, will be at the Houston interview program." It's an awkwardly placed comma.

Plus, I had lunch with an attorney who works there and she indicated that there wouldn't be a summer program at Dallas.

But, I could be reading it wrong, and she's not a recruiter.

Even if they do have one, it's apparently pretty small.

I interviewed with Gardere Dallas @ SMU's OCI. Gardere Houston was the OCI cancellation b/c they participated in the Houston program

Know of at least one Houston Looper callback going out.

Does anyone have any idea how much they pay?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
