callback receptions
How necessary is attending these? Does not attending count against you? Does it matter if the reception is before or after your scheduled CB?

unless you have some devastating reason not to go, i don't think it would hurt to go... as long as you don't get trashed... etiquette would be to smile and be friendly, i'd imagine.

Most firms will not care, but some do care (and some will take attendance). Regardless, it's a chance to meet people and make a good impression.
