Re: DPW offers
DPW took a week and change to get back to me. They don't necessarily do it in order, depending on people filling out evaluations etc.

What sorts of questions were asked? How was the atmosphere? What is their normal offer rate?

Re: DPW offers
pretty similar to screening round, but conversations are longer which is fine cuz I had a lot of questions I wanted to ask (not generic questions but ones I was actually interested in). people are super super nice, very cordial and respectful. the office is incredible (only Cleary and Sullcrom are on par in my opinion), however it is an evaluation round. Unlike some firms which are just pitching to you during the callback round, DPW actually does try to learn more about you as a person. be prepared to discuss some legal issues if you have them on your resume, they weren't necessarily testing me but they wanted to know I could speak intelligently about them. also, very curious interviewers; they weren't just going through the motions, they actually wanted to know what I did and why.Anonymous User wrote:What sorts of questions were asked? offer rate at my school at the callback stage is ~25%

My stats are way below what you would expect a normal DPW callback to come from. Top 1/4 from MVP. Are my odds lower for an offer than others? Does getting a callback mean that you have met the minimum and they would definitely hire you?

Re: DPW offers
Top 1/4 from MVP is not "way below" what you would expect a normal DPW callback to come from. Not even close. The firm routinely hires people that they want from top of the class down to only a little better than median from the schools the recruit heavily from (basically all of the T14).Anonymous User wrote:My stats are way below what you would expect a normal DPW callback to come from. It's impossible to say what your odds are now, but you're certainly in the running.
Everyone needs to relax on timing. DPW is slow and deliberate and people are very busy in August. You can't infer anything from silence on their part.

Re: DPW offers
Do they really give offers on a Saturday? seems strange, I don't think the recruiting people work on saturdays, and I doubt all 15 of the partners on the hiring committee met today. can anyone else confirm an offer?

Re: DPW offers
A reasonable %-age of DPW people are in that bucket. I got an offer with top 20% at T7-14. I think once you're past their grade hurdle (which isnt as high as you would think) it's all about personality.Anonymous User wrote:My stats are way below what you would expect a normal DPW callback to come from. Callback after 2 days, offer after one week.Anonymous User wrote:when did you get your offer / interview?Anonymous User wrote:A reasonable %-age of DPW people are in that bucket. Got an offer this afternoon by phone message!
CB was on Monday of this week.
The partner invited me to join for the summer, and wished me well in weathering out the storm here in NYC this weekend.

V13, V89, and DPW. I will decline offers just as soon as I am holding an offer letter in my hand.
