NYU 3L EIW
Thought there should be a thread. So I ended up with six interviews, I was hoping to pick up more from 3Ls dropping all of theirs when they got offers. How did everyone else do?

Re: NYU 3L EIW
I started with one, but after wait lists and open signing up, I'm up to nine. Crossed fingers. . .

Its 5:30 on day three and seventeen firms have already interviewed 3ls. Only two firms with callbacks??

Holy crap. Was there any 3L who did not work at a firm this summer who got a callback?

I don't go to NYU (I'm at another top 14) but can you guys explain to me how these firms recruit on campus for 3L's? Do they just allow you all to bid on symplicity in the same round as the 2L's? Do they view 2L grades as being just important as 1L grades? Which firms regularly participate? Thanks!

Re: NYU 3L EIW
I've ended up with a number of callbacks (and some offers) from EIW and other submissions and didn't summer at a firm. So there's hope out there!
To the non-NYU poster, some firms will have slots open for 3Ls in their interview schedules so you can bid on Symplicity on those. Some firms have 3L-specific schedules (i.e. there's an interviewer who just sees 3Ls) while others will have a mix (i.e., in bidding, the system places 70% 2Ls, 30% 3Ls or whatever mix the firm wants).
Others have posted listings you can apply to via Symplicity or email. Some firms prefer this since they can screen you based on resume and transcript. They'll then contact you and set up a screening interview at their office (or presumably on the phone if you're not in NYC). People have also done resume drops at firm hospitality suites.
My sense is that 2L grades are just as important as 1L grades.
