Firms who contact references prior to giving callback

Can we start a list of these please? The only one I've heard of is Covington.

Covington is the only one who requests references at the screener stage, so they're the only ones with references to call before a callback. They're like Cravath and the UG transcript (except Covington actually makes use of the references).

This is not true. I had a couple of firms ask for a reference list at the screener (I forget which)

Additionally some firms ask you send them a reference list prior to the callback. (Cleary and A&P did)

Munger Tolles asked for references. I did 5 screeners last week - heard from them all re: callbacks except Munger. I'm hoping it's because they're checking my references, but could also be that a ding is coming in the mail.

Covington calls right away after a screener interview.
