timing - clerkships v. other jobs

I am thinking of sending applications to a few big city district attorney's offices. do i wait until after i hear back from clerkships? most are rolling admissions but i don't want to get too far into the process and then drop out if that will piss them off

You apply to both simultaneously. I'd be more concerned with getting a job than "pissing off" the other entity that hadn't even given you a job.
