Asking a judge to be a reference?

Post by Anonymous User » Wed Aug 10, 2011 5:41 pm

Would it be appropriate to ask a federal judge for whom I interned this summer to serve as a reference for OCI?

Do I even need to bring a list of references to the interview? None of the firms require it (they ask for the transcript and, rarely, the writing sample), but career services suggest that we should.

The Judge's chambers is fine, in general. But ask the clerk, they are the ones who will be talking to the employer, not the judge.
