Boston Lawyer Group-2011
Preselects are supposed to come out today, unless if there is updated information about when they will be released that I'm not aware of. Let's post our interview selections here.

Re: Boston Lawyer Group-2011
Here is what the website says:
When and how will I be notified of my schedule?
You will be able to access your interview schedule on August 8, 2011. In addition, the
BLG will notify you that your schedule has been posted on Symplicity.
It seems like we should have had our schedules posted and should have received an email saying so by today. A lot of career fairs have been extending their time allotted for employers to make their decisions. I wonder if that has something to do with it.

Got an e-mail saying I got at least one interview. Attending law school outside of Boston but have ties to the city. Anyone know how many interviews an average person will have? They said schedule will be released Friday..

Sorry to hear, good luck at your other fairs. Do you go to one of the law schools in Boston? I hope your grades are ok!Anonymous User wrote:Got an email notifying I was not selected for interviews, bummer. No love from Boston.

From their website, it says that last year's selected students had an average of 2-5 interviews, some had 10 max. Of course, ITE, things are different, so not really sure.Anonymous User wrote:Got an e-mail saying I got at least one interview. Attending law school outside of Boston but have ties to the city. Three preselects. dla piper, Nixon Peabody, and Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge. I was told that we could get lottery slots on the day of as well. I'm pretty happy with the three firms I got. Anyone else?

Who told you there's going to be a lottery? Also, does anyone know how you find out who your interviewers are?Anonymous User wrote:Three preselects. It says there will be lottery slots available on the FAQ page. Anyone know how BLG job fair works out? Do firms actually intend on hiring or do they just attend to say they attend a diversity fair?

Re: Boston Lawyer Group-2011
I did BLG last year. I got 5 callbacks through BLG, and only 1 offer from a smaller firm, but ended up taking an offer I got through my school's OCI. I think the firms I got callbacks for through BLG were out of my reach, GPA-wise, so I was not surprised at the rejections, but I did end up feeling like the whole BLG fair was more to fulfill the firms' diversity initiatives than serious recruiting. It was really good interviewing practice though, and I'm pretty sure I have BLG to thank for my polished interviewing skills by the time I interviewed through OCI.Anonymous User wrote:It says there will be lottery slots available on the FAQ page. Just got an e-mail with employer information. Does anyone know why some firms are listed multiple times? I'm interviewing with Bingham and I see it listed twice with two interviewers..
