Median
Top 50%--is that something you want to include on a resume? I'm top 45% or so. should I just leave my rank off the resume?

Re: Median
Whenever I communicate with potential employers, I always highlight the qualities that make me seem average.

Re: Median
I've been told to always list your GPA or rank. One attorney told me that if you don't list anything, he assumes the worst. I'd rather list median than have a recruiter think I'm dead last in my class.

Re: Median
It depends what your GPA looks like alone. If you are at an inflated school and your median GPA is a 3.3 or so, just put that. If you are at a school that runs a <3.0 median, definitely say your rank.

Re: Median
i put top 1/2 on mine but wasn't sure. that's 3.44 (frustrating b/c i'm probably top 36% but my school doesn't break it down after 30%).
it has been working ok so far for me.

If the published cut-off is significantly lower, then you can put that on your resume too:Anonymous User wrote:i put top 1/2 on mine but wasn't sure. that's 3.44 (frustrating b/c i'm probably top 36% but my school doesn't break it down after 30%).

GPA: 3.44 (median = 3.21)
Or, for that matter, if you're close to the cutoff, top 33% = 3.47.
