Hated my interview there. Pulled myself from consideration 2 days after, and only waited that long out of respect. It would suck to work in Miami for any less than 160k, since some firms there pay that much and more (re: Boies). I'm from there, but I'm heading to LA.

As far as I know only two firms pay that high. Weil pays 160 and Boies is just ridiculous.

But you are forgetting the COL and no state + city income tax. You will have "more money" (if not actually, the amount you end up with will go way farther) working for 130-140 in Miami then working for 160 in NY (or LA?).

I think people are afraid to speak out. Miami is a small market.

most firms have at least some offers out at this point, including Bilzin and White & Case. as they say, if you haven't been dinged, you still have a shot.

What?

As promised, Scott has increased jobs in Florida. The fact that legal jobs haven't increased doesn't mean he wasn't successful overall.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
