Way to go!! Fellow gopher here. Currently a 3L, below median. Did not get anything from 3L OCI (as there were hardly any to begin with). But I have gone on three CBs already and have two more coming up in the next two weeks. Did PLIP fair and Mass Mailing. CBs are in Chicago, DC, and LA markets.

Networking is key. Presenting what you have to offer is key. Persistence is key.

Good luck!!!

Are you going to the CB dinner this week as well? Could all 6 of the attendees be UIUC?
No, I went to the first date, which was last week. There was one other Illini there with me. Good luck with it, they're all very nice.
Did you get to meet the illustrious Ralph Caruso?

I know he rubbed you UIUC people the wrong way last year, but nobody at my school felt this way at all.

Read the next couple of pages (some of it is pretty funny). Again, this wasn't my experience or the experience of anybody at my school, but the UIUC students last year had a lot to say. I thought it was just a normal interview.

Nothing. People are stupid. I interviewed with him and found him to be a normal, laid-back guy.

Oh yeah, playing games and messing around on his iPad during interviews is "nothing." He also acted incredibly bothered to even be at OCI and gave short answers to our questions.

Hey look! Finally something substantive!

Edit: Though it was my understanding that he was utilizing the iPad to track things about the interview. Either way, I got a CB so his interest level is of no matter anymore.

The fact that he was messing around on his iPad was mentioned in the other thread. He was definitely doing more than just looking at our resumes during interviews. But whatever, congrats on intriguing him.

I was just messing with you. Yeah, I definitely see how that could be annoying. I also don't think anyone at my school made it past 15 mins with him. He just kept waiting for questions and giving curt answers.

I don't know what's sadder: the anon keeps bumping the thread or the lack of news to report

Another midwest student here - not at ND, or ILL. 12 screeners so far, including Foley. Going to Fredrikson & Byron, Kinney & Lange in MN. OCI over, waiting on CBs. Applied to Chicago w/ many dings

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
