Three weeks after OCI and this is the only rolling callback reported.

To be fair, a lot of firms give callbacks out like candy to NYU/CLS students, and then have atrocious callback:offer rates for the students from those schools.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote: LOL @ the oft-cited mantra "ITS ALL ABOUT YOU -- THEY WANT UCHICAGO STUDENTS"
seriously. i don't know what i was thinking picking chicago over nyu/columbia. median students at those schools have over twice as many callbacks as me and i haven't heard at all from firms that recruited in new york and didn't come to our oci.

Uh ... they will let you know if they don't want you. Believe that. I assume if you haven't heard, you're still in the running.Anonymous User wrote:Keeping it classy.Anonymous User wrote:I wish all of the kids who attended shit law schools like DePaul would read this thread. In other news, still haven't heard from Skadden, SullCrom, Latham, Kirkland, and Sidley. Do these firms just not bother sending out rejections to people they don't want?

Offer from Skadden Chi this afternoon. And rejections, I've gotten those too. So you might still be in the running!Anonymous User wrote:Keeping it classy.Anonymous User wrote:I wish all of the kids who attended shit law schools like DePaul would read this thread. I think rolling rejections are a real thing. Got my post-screener Kirkland ding several days (maybe a week?) after I heard of the first rejection from the same (Chi) office.Anonymous User wrote:Keeping it classy.Anonymous User wrote:I wish all of the kids who attended shit law schools like DePaul would read this thread. Prob can be confirmed if you could compare the date on your letter to the date at the top of a first rounder.Anonymous User wrote:I think rolling rejections are a real thing. According to NALP: A candidate should not hold open more than five offers of employment at any one time. For each offer received that places a candidate over the offer limit, the candidate should, within one week of receipt of the excess offer, release an offer.Anonymous User wrote:What are the rules?Anonymous User wrote:do we really need to be reminded of the rules? he'll either follow them, or he won't.Anonymous User wrote:Congrats on your success! Just make sure to follow NALP rules re: open offers haha.Anonymous User wrote: Haha I know the feeling. I came home to find SIX rejection letters from OCI firms, all of whom were so pleased to meet me.
Of course I also came home with four offers so whatever --
