seriously. i don't know what i was thinking picking chicago over nyu/columbia. median students at those schools have over twice as many callbacks as me and i haven't heard at all from firms that recruited in new york and didn't come to our oci.

To be fair, a lot of firms give callbacks out like candy to NYU/CLS students, and then have atrocious callback:offer rates for the students from those schools.

The quality of my legal education isn't going to matter when I don't have a job in Manhattan.

Has anyone heard anything at all from Cooley NY? I haven't heard a word since the screener and some people I've talked to are saying the same.

I wish all of the kids who attended shit law schools like DePaul would read this thread. Then perhaps they'd reconsider law school altogether since they think we have it so fucking good.

Keeping it classy.

In other news, still haven't heard from Skadden, SullCrom, Latham, Kirkland, and Sidley. Do these firms just not bother sending out rejections to people they don't want?

Uh ... they will let you know if they don't want you. Believe that. I assume if you haven't heard, you're still in the running.

Offer from Skadden Chi this afternoon. And rejections, I've gotten those too. So you might still be in the running!

I think rolling rejections are a real thing. Got my post-screener Kirkland ding several days (maybe a week?) after I heard of the first rejection from the same (Chi) office.

Prob can be confirmed if you could compare the date on your letter to the date at the top of a first rounder.

Congrats on your success! Just make sure to follow NALP rules re: open offers haha.
do we really need to be reminded of the rules? he'll either follow them, or he won't.
What are the rules?
According to NALP: A candidate should not hold open more than five offers of employment at any one time. For each offer received that places a candidate over the offer limit, the candidate should, within one week of receipt of the excess offer, release an offer.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
