Error on transcript.
i entered my bids and attached my transcript and resume.
Problem is is that in my transcript, i did not put the summer classes i am currently taking and the fall classes i am signed up for. Rather all i have on the transcript is my fall and spring semester and final GPA. to top it off, i transferred from FT to PT, so it looks like i have low number of credits.
However I do have my GPA and class rank on my resume.
I have good grades, but my worries are that employers, when picking which students to interview, will look at my resume and be like wtf, why such little credits, OR they will think that an evening student mistakenly got stuck in OCI w/o enough credits, and not choose me.
so do employers just look at resumes, or will they actually be inspecting transcripts, and if so, this likely to affect my bid/interviews?

Re: Mistake i made in bidding process.
I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'm no expert, but I would guess that firms will just assume that you only put your 1L information. They definitely won't know about the summer class, but that's not a big deal.

I was told to only put classes that I had grades in.

+1. Do you type your own transcript? We have an automated system we print from that only shows classes we've taken with grades. Pretty sure they will ask about courseload for next semester if they care.Cupidity wrote:I was told to only put classes that I had grades in.

Re: Mistake i made in bidding process.
This is such a big problem because firms really want to know about classes you didn't get grades in yet!!!
/sarcasm
At least you didn't send X law firm a cover letter for Y law firm like I did. Luckily I only did it to one of them. lol

like i said, my worry is that firms will be like why did this student take such little class and have such low credit (since im taking summer classes to switch to FT).Eco wrote:This is such a big problem because firms really want to know about classes you didn't get grades in yet!!!

Does your resume reflect the fact that you transferred from PT to FT?

I'm pretty sure the firms won't even notice. Seriously.

Re: Mistake i made in bidding process.
That counts. Even if the recruiters notice that you have a relatively low number of credits, they should be able to put 2 and 2 together. It's not like PT to FT transfers are uncommon. And you can always talk about your summer classes in your interviews to show that you're up to speed credit-wise.Anonymous User wrote:no...my resume just has class of 2013 instead of 2014warumnicht wrote:Does your resume reflect the fact that you transferred from PT to FT?

I'm hoping X law firm calls Y law firm and says; "Eco really wants to work for you guys! He even told us about it!"
Wishful thinking?

do firms even look at the transcripts for GPA/class rank? or do they just look at resume?

Re: Error on transcript.
Probably both. Why are you even asking this question, lol. Firms don't sit down and go "man this guy hasn't taken that many classes!" They've got to sift through hundreds and hundreds of resumes. They're just going to look at your GPA and rank and that's it.

Did the firms write you back informing you of the error or did you realize it yourself? I'm in the middle of my mass mailing and am so afraid I'm going to make this same mistake.ndirish2010 wrote:LOL I did that too. Re: Error on transcript.
made similar mistake, but a typo on my resume which involved writing the wrong state abbreviation, that looks obviously wrong.
will employers even notice?
