Below Median at T20 School

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Jul 18, 2011 10:59 am

Firms: What size firms should someone who is around but below median at a t20 school be looking at? Is it too early to be sending applications to mid-size firms in the largest markets? Does someone w/ below median grades have any shot at NY, DC, TX, Atlanta, San Francisco or Chicago? Or am I going to be relegated to secondary markets? Is corporate work out the window?

Government: I've been told to look into things like the DOJ Honors and other programs like this. I'm assuming they are a fairly grade conscious and can be extremely selective in picking summers. What are other programs I should research?

PI: What kind of PI opportunities are out there for someone with demonstrated interest in the field but bad grades? Do any of these position you well for solid exit options?
