For sending out resumes and cover letters to firms not going to my new schools OCI, how do I inform firms that I transfered from another school? How far should I go into the reasons for me transferring? Should I stress that a main reason for transfer is to be closer to the market?
Figured I should get on this starting next week.
Hit up my home market, any NYC firms not coming to OCI and any firms not coming to new market OCI.
Transfer school is near where I went to undergrad.
Is it even worth trying for other big markets like Chicago or Texas with no ties?
And is going to graduate school and working in CA for 3 years between law school and undergrad enough "ties" to shoot for SF and LA?
