1L Dinged after CB, re-bid for 2L OCI? Forum

So I had callbacks at a few firms in my targeted secondary market for my 1L summer but did not get any offers. Is it worth re-bidding on those firms for 2L OCI or should I move on? Does anyone have any experience (either personal or anecdotal) with this?

Not my experience but have heard others ask hiring partners this. They all say it does not matter at all; apply again. Then again, that is for NYC; might be different in a smaller market (but probably not, 1L SA positions are ridiculously competitive).

This is important. If you got callbacks, it probably means they liked you -- most firms only hire a handful of 1L SA's at most. If anything, your interest should only help your chances this year (although minimally).

Thanks for the replies, that's what I wanted to hear... I'm hoping it's worth it since I like the firms and I like the city.
