I've lived in CA for nearly all of my life and want to practice here. I've accepted the fact that a federal clerkship probably just isn't going to happen, especially not in CA.
I would love to clerk at a CA state court, but their budgets are becoming increasingly worse and even the unpaid positions are highly competitive.
So, if I were to find an acceptable clerking job in another state, do you think it would make sense career-wise to do it?
