Quality work as a SA--getting an offer

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Jun 12, 2011 2:24 am

Question regarding "do good work." I recently turned in an assignment that had a fairly obvious typo--one of the entity names was screwed up do to careless CTRL+Fing. I don't plan on making the same mistake again, but does an isolated instance like that stick with you the rest of the summer? What exactly does it mean to "do quality work"--or rather to not be known as someone who doesn't do quality work?

How exactly do you not plan to make the same mistake again? Mistakes, almost by definition, are unplanned. That's the point of rereading your work product five million times.

It's a pretty obvious mistake, if someone confronts you about it just admit you screwed up. But one typo isn't going to independently doom you to a no-offer.

Doing quality work means consistently staying on top of your tasks, turning them in on time without mistakes (especially obvious ones like above). It also means not beating yourself up about past mistakes and focusing on improving your future work product.

In the future, proofreed your work before handing it in :D
