Can someone explain to me how to do this? I'm at work and don't have the student handbook.. TYIA

1 here. Hooray.
Anyone know what to expect for open sign-up? There can't be many openings left, right?
I was thinking about that too. Like if you opted in to a waitlist and didn't get an interview, and the people who did get an interview off the waitlist aren't allowed to drop it, and peopled who originally got interviews haven't been allowed to drop them since before the waitlist lottery was run (Aug 5th was last chance), then logically won't there be no available slots with an employer that you - or any other one student - couldn't get off the waitlist?
(non-transfer)

Select the OCI top link and under Employers/Bidding, choose the Session from the dropdown menu
(2011 Early Interview Week), make sure that ‘Show All’ displays in the Employers dropdown menu,
then press the Search button.

If there is a time slot available, the Interview Date (next to the Employer Name) will display as a
hyperlink. To sign up for an interview via Open Sign-Up, simply click on an available Interview Date,
choose a time slot, and click Signup.

So why can't we cancel interviews we don't want? Will we be able to snag open sign up slots if we have conflicting interview times? If not, then we need to quickly figure out how to cancel the ones we don't want.

The last email from career services said rising 2Ls can't cancel any interviews after the Aug. 5th deadline.

I'm a transfer so that wouldn't apply to me I don't think. Unless the policy is that transfers can't cancel anything. I'd better call

Was it one of Skadden, Sidley, Paul Hastings, K&E or Dewey?
I gots zero, even after cancelling 8 of my 24 interviews to free up slots.
Nope. Another V10.

Somehow I missed the boat on Latham and Paul Hastings. I think I might have scheduling conflicts with their availability, because I still can see the option to click the date, but when I do, the system tells me that no more interviews are available. I did get STB, so that gamble paid off.

Yeah, a few firms still have the clickable option available, yet it gives me the same message. I keep clicking on one of the Paul Hastings and Venable dates but it tells me no slots are available. Not sure why we are still able to click it.

I got a couple good ones from open bid, but I also got off of about six waitlists. But I am looking at a smaller (sort of) market.

Anyone know where that list of hospitality suites they mentioned at the meeting last night is? I can't find it in the document library. Sort of disappointed that I didn't get off any waitlists, but looking forward to pounding the hospitality suites.

On a related note, anyone know anything about OCI (not EIW, the actual OCI that's happening in September)? I just an email from a boutique that I am really interested in (mailed them in late July) telling me to interview with them at OCI in September. (They're not at EIW.) I knew the September OCI existed but thought it was some sort of silly joke, not particularly useful. Any idea on the timeline? Am I too late to sign up?

Yeah, go to the document library and put "hospitality" in the search box. Its the only result that comes up.

Any other people that submitted their resume to the diversity book get an email from Munger late last night?

Will there be any more open sign-up slots opening up or will no one be able to drop/cancel interviews between now and EIW?

Nope. I got two other emails and nothing came from either of them.

Hmm. I figured I 'd ask because it was kind of odd. It mentioned meeting their lawyers on Aug 17th, which is a day before their EIW date.

Anyone have any advice on effectively getting an interview slot via hospitality suites? Are we just dropping off resumes, chatting with it up with NYU alums, and getting more swag?

My resume doesn't include my GPA because I'm only slightly above median - should I be dropping off resumes along with a transcript?

Nobody is supposed to have their GPA on their resume. I think you should have a transcript, writing sample, etc. available with you and offer to leave it, let their response guide you.

Seward Kissel wants an undergraduate transcript? GTFO.

I knew I should've cancelled that interview.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
