So I've read that 1Ls should be "building relationships" with alumni from our school who are currently at firms where we hope to secure 1L SA positions..
How do we go about doing this? At a couple of firms, I already spoke to some attorneys from my school during my cycle. What kind of questions should I be asking? Just general advice? Or what?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Building relationships for a 1L job search
As far as building relationships with alumni, I've looked into my undergrad's alumni list and found alums who are also alums of the school I'll be attending in the fall. I've been emailing them asking them about the school, the city, their experiences, the transition from the bubble, career paths, etc. Don't know if that's what I should be doing, but at least making contacts.
