I'm having a debate here with a friend. Now we're taking it to you guys:

Will having tried cocaine once (over two years before the start of an internship) disqualify you for all the public sector/government jobs?

How will they detect the drug use? Is there readily accessible photographic evidence? If not then no.

because you'll admit to it when you apply for your security clearance. and they won't care. i had a top secret clearance with a long history of drug abuse.
