3L hiring at NYU
So, there are 23 legal employers coming to EIW here at NYU looking for 3Ls, that is more than I was expecting. Is this a sign that 3L hiring is up, or are those of us without SA positions destined to be night managers at McDonald's?

i'm not sure about 3L hiring, but, if you don't mind saying, where are you in your class?

It is hard to say, since NYU does not officially rank, but I have a GPA just over 3.6

Sorry, to clarify I was was a transfer student. I currently have a 3.6. My stats at EIW were typical transfer ones, top 30 top 2% or 3%.

Re: 3L hiring at NYU
3L hiring at NYU was surprisingly robust last year, but I think that was mostly because a lot of firms felt like they underhired for their 2L summer classes. I suspect that might not be the case this year, which is why I think this year's 3L OCI might be slightly worse. And even though firms say they are recruiting 3Ls on the website, that doesn't mean that they'll take any.
In any event, I know some V10s that are certainly returning to the table for 3Ls, and a 3.6 from NYU is certainly competitive for those spots. Maintain the grades, make sure you have a legal job lined up for the summer, and hope for the best.
