The only thing that could really negatively impact your chances is doing nothing, or something totally non-legal. In the grand scheme of things, externing with a state judge isn't really worlds apart from exerning with any other judge, or even working for a firm, during your 1L summer.Lawquacious wrote:I don't want to do something that could negatively impact my chances for 2L summer
Since it is getting relatively late in the game, I would just go with the sure thing and not risk being without a legal position for the summer.
