Was not today the deadline for applications? I mean, I applied a while back, but I am surprised to hear offers have been made. When did you have your interview, or was the offer made without interviewing?

Any updates?

I applied to all the offices in D.C. with no word yet.

Top 10% T-14 with significant securities arb. experience.

Sigh.

Did this last year. Last time I heard they aren't paying interns this year.

This is true. I know that (at least) all 1L Summers are unpaid.

Anyone interview with the New York office? If so, can you PM me please? Or even if it was another regional office, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Question.

I'm already locked into a JAG internship. I'm excited about it, it pays decent, and it will possibly lead to a job.

But I still want a firm job. I recently received an offer for the SEC NY office, which does not pay. Will doing the SEC Honors Program give me a boost when it comes to 3L OCI? Or is my shot at a BigLaw job still unrealistic.

Just for reference, I go to a T10 (Transfer).

Thanks.

Which office(s)/division(s) did you get an interview for? I'm looking specifically at Investment Management and Corporation Finance. I know the GC's office and the Int. Affairs office have both sent out interview requests.

Accepted an offer for a regional office. Don't want to out myself by saying which one.

Interview was pretty informal. Got an offer on the spot.

After the initial 15-minute interview, what is the next step? Is there another follow-up interview?

I'm a 1L, and I got an interview yesterday for the Enforcement Division in Washington, D.C.

I've currently got a COA internship offer, so now I'm very conflicted... the SEC is my dream...

Don't see the harm in doing the interview (I'm assuming that, contrary to other anons who have posted about getting immediate offers for regional offices, the interview =/= offer).

For those 1L's who received interviews - did you guys do tailored cover letters directed to each specific division, or did you do a general cover letter for all divisions? Not sure how much the cover letter mattered, but I am getting nervous since I didn't do a specific cover letter for each office to which I applied.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
