OCI/Class Conflicts
Did you guys fill out the class conflicts calendar on Symplicity going into OCI?
It seems to me that an interview would be worth missing a class for, but can this be avoided? Will employers work around your schedule conflicts or is it enough of a buyer's market that it won't be worth it for them to stick around?

Thanks, guys, was pretty sure about this, but I heard a few people talking about putting in their conflicts and I thought there was something I was missing.

Yes. If you're lucky, you'll miss weeks of class when you travel for callbacks. I missed at least 3 full weeks of class.

I missed like 9 weeks. I returned a broken husk of a man, fattened from countless multi-attorney lunches and reeking of airport lounge, hookers, and cocaine.Big Shrimpin wrote:Kohinoor wrote:This. The point of law school is the job.LawSchoolWannaBe wrote:Don't put those in. Miss the class(es).

Let them sacrifice the screening interviews. It's better to miss a few classes than to end up jobless. You'll have time do attend class when you're dead.TTH wrote:Thanks, guys, was pretty sure about this, but I heard a few people talking about putting in their conflicts and I thought there was something I was missing.

Haha. OP, as Kohinoor intimated, plan for OCI to scourge your soul...if you're lucky!

To be fair, the real fun comes after you receive your first offer. Then you can eat to your heart's content without worrying whether crumbs will fall out of your mouth when you talk.Big Shrimpin wrote:Haha. OP, as Kohinoor intimated, plan for OCI to scourge your soul...if you're lucky!
