Why do you have to tell the judge about transferring schools?

Once you get into the new school, tell the judge. The judge will probably say congrats and wish you well.

There isn't any way the judge would know that you had the idea of transferring in mind when you interviewed with him.
when you tell him, he'll probably ask why, so you should prepare an answer for him that's consistent with what he knows about you. Edit: AND that doesn't bash the school you are at (obviously)
