Put ranking on resume?

Post by kswiss » Tue Jan 11, 2011 12:10 pm

Can't figure out if this is kosher. I don't want to be the dude hyping his grades on his resume if it is faux paux...

My school explicitly told us we couldn't do it (only GPA). Mainly because we don't have official rank (though we have 1L Honors distinctions that come out in February).

The sole purpose of your 1L resume is to hype your grades. List your rank.

I agree. Provided that your school permits it, and your rank is good, put it on the resume.

School rules for a resume? Nothing of the sort where I'm at.

Do you have to submit your resume for review?

Personally, if it's a good class rank, you should hype it somewhere. If not your resume, your cover letter.
