I haven't heard a thing, and I even worked at HUD this summer. I'm kinda mad about that. Has anyone else heard anything?Anonymous User wrote:Has anyone heard back from HUD?

Any new info? I interviewed Nov. 30th. Also, does anyone know if their references have been called? I haven't heard anything from the people I listed...Not sure if anything is going on

Re: HUD honors?
I had an interview in late November. They emailed my references a list of generic questions a couple of weeks ago. My interviewers said that I should hear by the end of the year, but here we are and I haven't heard anything yet.

Interviewed early December. They said I'd hear back by late December/early January. Decisions were made mid-late January last year.
For those whose references were contacted, when were they contacted? I didn't hear anything from any of my references but also I didn't ask them yet.

Re: HUD honors?
Thought I'd search for an update here as well.
I interviewed before Thanksgiving at a Regional Office with the Regional Counsel. The regional counsel mentioned that HUD was planning to (1.) conduct interviews, by phone and in person, until December 3, 2010; (2.) send final recommendations from the Field Offices to D.C. in December; (3.) contact accepted candidates with offers in January; and (4.) hire 20 attorneys for the 2011-12 program (up from 10, as originally planned before the new budget was finalized).
Seeing as its the end of January, I was wondering if anyone has either heard of anyone receiving offers or rejections, or if anyone has called HUD for a status update on any offers. After doing some research, it appears that second rounds of offers were made in past years, usually at the end of February, and rejection letters will come in the mail. I received a call to schedule my interview, so I imagine that any offers would be made via phone call.
Anyone have any news?

I am trying to find out as well. I heard that the selections are delayed. I have not heard anything either.

Re: HUD honors?
My references were contacted during the week of December 20th. I was told decisions were being finalized and that calls would be made during the week of January 24th, but with the DC snow storm there may have been a change in timing.

Re: HUD honors?
I was told on Monday that decisions have not yet been made. I was thinking the same thing about the snow storm.
Did you apply for HQ, or for a regional office?

Re: HUD honors?
Just got a rejection letter in the mail dated 2/11. Really thought I had a very good chance. Interviewer said this was one of his "best interviews in his 30 year federal career". I guess that's not good enough in this economy.
