So I've been reading this board long enough to know that the answer I'm gonna get to this question is going to vary somewhere between a picture of a cat and "stfu go study", but once we get that out of the way...
Basically I just started at Penn and I'm wondering how things end up out a school at this range in the rankings when it comes to jobs for those who have lower grades. My question mainly isn't "Can I go to the most prestigious firms and make 160k+?" as much as I'm more asking, out a school like Penn, if I have lower grades, can I at least count on a job in the 110k+ range somewhere? Or is it that bad ITE? Any thoughts would be helpful.
Also, I appreciate it but I don't really need the "just study and you'll be fine". I realize that and I'll be studying hard, my question is meant for the circumstance where the grades don't show up in the end.
Or maybe a forum full of law school students will have no idea how to answer this question, but I figured I'd toss it out there.

Re: General Question: Employment out of UPenn
There are almost no firms paying $110k that come to Penn OCI. It's feast or famine: $160k or scramble for a $50k small-law job. Maybe if you have ties to a small secondary market where you can work you might find a $110k job.
Almost half of this year's 2L class won't get anything out of OCI.
Don't be below median.

Re: General Question: Employment out of UPenn
A few Philly firms that pay 110 did OCI or resume collects.
I am a Penn 2L, below median, no WE with 5 callbacks and an offer from a top firm in my market.
You'll be fine as long as you bid smart.

QF absurdly overgeneralized statement with little bearing on reality apart from one of few anecdotes within each T10 class.Anonymous User wrote:A few Philly firms that pay 110 did OCI or resume collects.
