Milbank offers?
Anyone have an offer from Milbank NY? If so, what was the timespan between visit and offer?

I don't know she said that milbank gives fast offers either day of or next day? But I also know that this firm is head over heels in love with my friend.Anonymous User wrote:Jesus, is that normal?Anonymous User wrote:yep, my friend got her offer the day of her cb.

I'm still waiting. I had my callback last week. When did you have yours?Anonymous User wrote:Anyone else?

Still waiting on my decision regarding if I am getting a callback or not. If the firm really does make offers that quick, it probably explains why (as they would be "wait listing" people at the stage I am sitting at, not at the after callback point).

Re: Milbank offers?
I don't know. My friend had a callback 2-3 weeks ago. An offer deadline was up, so he called to see if he could get a decision, but they told him they couldn't render a decision, so he withdrew from consideration. It seems like there is a "waitlist" for post-callback people if they told him they couldn't render a decision 2 weeks after his callback.Anonymous User wrote:Still waiting on my decision regarding if I am getting a callback or not. Does anyone else who has gotten an offer have info on the offer-callback timeline?

I really liked Milbank, but mine's been 10 days now too. I figure no news is good news, for now.

Did they tell you when the hiring committee meets? I asked, but I don't think they gave me a precise day.Anonymous User wrote:I really liked Milbank, but mine's been 10 days now too. I figure no news is good news, for now.
Also, do you think they are really "waitlisting" post-callback people?

I asked too, but they also didn't give me a date. I don't know if they are doing waitlists, but I know lots of firms have "hold" columns. So I'd hold out hope till you get the ding :p Some people hypothesized the change in NALP deadlines might have something to do with it; obviously there's been no real confirmation yet.Anonymous User wrote:Did they tell you when the hiring committee meets? Anyone have an idea what Milbank's timeline is looking like? Do rejections come by snail mail?

Re: Milbank offers?
No word here, but I really don't care anymore. Already got an offer at a firm I liked a lot more - and that is not in New York. Huzzah! I have a feeling Milbank is going to keep people on the list for a good long while, waiting for people like me to trickle off so that they can scoop up the best of what is left to fill in holes in their class.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone else still waiting to hear back? People like me would really appreciate if people like you would withdraw themselves.Anonymous User wrote:No word here, but I really don't care anymore.
