not quite (almost) but plenty of people in top 20% and even some beyond are least getting a callback, and I can't imagine it is so much worse just beyond T-50.

probably not in a major market--lower ranked schools do best when they are not in the same geographic area as top 20 schools

actually, lots of kids in top 10% at least get callbacks in NYC. Offers we have yet to see, though there have already been a few. Actually better than I expected. Local market is actually more difficult in some ways.

School Ranked: 90-100 (bottom Tier 1)
Stats: Top 11%, no LR, good work experience
About 17 screening interviews, 2 callbacks so far, and waiting to hear back from about 4-5 firms. 1CB = rejection, other is next week. Mid-size market (not NYC, DC, etc.)

School in the 70's, secondary market, strong in its region blah blah...
LR, top 10% (though just barely, probably), not much work experience
8 screening interviews
4 rejections
4 silence (to be fair I just interviewed with two of them this week)
E-mailed about 15 firms in my market last week, no responses so far
From talking to others my experience has not been atypical.

Tier 3 school in a secondary market with no other law schools, LR, top 5-10%.
OCI started within the last three weeks. 3 screeners so far, 4 more scheduled, one (possible) callback so far (see thread titled "Being Considered for Callback?"). No V100 firms at OCI. Ours is simply not that kind of market.

B/c the other option ("top 15%") shortchanges a top 11% GPA.Anonymous User wrote:Why do people put top 11%?
