Thinking of EDing to UCLA for 2011 (am from LA and want to stay here and have competitive but not definitive #s for UCLA) but wanted to see how this years OCI went and how people are finding the job market in general (I know I know its bad everywhere) out of UCLA this year?

Good friend of mine just finished OCI. She estimated about 1/4 of her friends had callbacks or offers. It's not pretty.

I know a TON of kids in the class of 2012 who had 10+ callbacks and multiple offers. I'm in the class of 2011 and had a ton of callbacks last year and multiple offers, not to mention that all of my friends who wanted biglaw and were above median got offers last year. It's really not as bad as the above poster indicated.

So better or worse at UCLA vs say...
...USC?
Or some others like Texas, Cornell, George Washington, BU, BC ect.
or those which I'd assume did better but....Georgetown, Michigan, UVA...
Also do people really think it was worse at Boalt then at UCLA or are you just continuing the grand tradition of ragging on Boalt on this board?...

Re: UCLA OCI/prospects coming from UCLA in general
As a transfer student, I had 18 interviews 2 CB No Offers. I did not transfer for Biglaw so I am not overly saddened by missing the boat.
Of the people I know from the transfer class and 2Ls (I don't know any LR people), those who met GPA requirements landed a CB or two but were in no way rolling in them. However, of those that did, few have an offer atm. All this is purely anecdotal. As a poster above mentioned, he/she knows people who landed multiple offers, so maybe the cross section I have met just aren't in that grouping...
