law firm offers
I interviewed with firm A on Monday. It was promising and I received an offer that Friday. However, I really would like to work for firm B which I interviewed on Tuesday. Firm B has yet to get back to me. Would you gently mention that you have a competing offer from another firm to firm B so that you can know whether to accept firm A or wait for firm B?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hmm. I probably would. Can't say it's the right thing to do, but yeah.

Yeah at my firm, some people were bitching about people who take forever to accept an offer. Firms probably don't appreciate it. It's probably in everyone's best interest for you to notify, as long as it's gentle and not entitled-sounding, as you already know.

Hiring Cmte's meet when they meet, usually on a specified day of the week. Your offer does not affect this day. But there are some informed/knowledgeable people who disagree w/ me ITT, so maybe I'm wrong. I just see more ways it could hurt than help.

Well I'm just saying don't wait the 28 days. I guess I got a little confused once that number showed up. Most likely they'll get back to you soon, so yeah. Maybe after a week if you don't here, you nudge a little bit.
