Re: Kirkland Chicago
My callback with them is this week - I'll be happy to share what it's like afterwards.

Re: Kirkland Chicago
Mine was six 30-minute interviews, all with partners, and then a two-associate lunch. The interviews were all largely like during OCI—nobody asked stupid behavioral questions or anything like that. We just had substantive discussions about things. In all, it was really awesome and I am making deals with various deities that I get an offer

Has anyone who interviewed last week heard yet?

Also curious to hear what the turnaround time has been like for those with offers.

Re: Kirkland Chicago
Are they still doing the "super" interviews, where all the interviewees go on a group lunch? Did everyone only interview w/partners at the CB stage?

Re: Kirkland Chicago
I'm pretty sure this did not happen on the day I went, as there were other interviewees at the same restaurant, each with their two associates.Anonymous User wrote:Are they still doing the "super" interviews, where all the interviewees go on a group lunch?
I only interviewed with partners, but I don't have a sense of how typical that is.Anonymous User wrote:Did everyone only interview w/partners at the CB stage?

Boo. I really will need to hear from them sooner than that, but hopefully since I chose one of their "preferred" days, they'll process all of us quickly.Anonymous User wrote:Mine took over 3 weeks CB -> offer, FWIW.

I interviewed at Kirkland in Chicago yesterday, and just received a summer associate offer by telephone a few minutes ago. So the turn-around time can be quick. Good luck to others!
Also, I did not have a "super" interview for lunch...it was just me and two young associates. Prior to that, I had five 30-min interviews, mostly with partners. Relatively laid back, no crazy questions.

Interviewed 9/17, got offer same day. But I made them aware of a looming deadline from another firm so that could have something to do w/ the quick turnaround for me.

Nice. You're not the first person to tell me they got an offer in the same day at K&E. This does not bode well for me.Anonymous User wrote:Interviewed 9/17, got offer same day. FWIW, it took well over a month for me to hear from them through the 3L hiring process. I think it varies on practice group, whether the important partners in that group are busy, etc (even if you're not being "hired" by a particular group for the summer, they get the input of the important folks in the groups you have expressed interest in).Anonymous User wrote:Nice. It also took me well over a month and a half to get my offer at Mayer for my 2L summer gig. However, I know for a fact I was "wait-listed" on that - I just happened to make it off the list.
Long story short: it's not over until it's over.
