Schulte. Not Kaye, unless you are dead set on lit. I don't know much about Seward (perhaps that's the obvious choice but I wouldn't know it).

Kaye if you want lit. They are great for lit in NY and have a rep for going to trial. Rumor has it billable hours are a little less crazy than some of the bigger firms.
The other two are very much like each other in terms of their rep for corporate work, especially hedge funds. It will come down to how much you enjoy/enjoyed your office visit. Seward is pretty laid back from what I hear.

I'm NOT the poster you quoted, but no, I don't think Schulte and Seward are the same. Unless something really draws you to Seward (e.g., you like the people much more), I'd say your decision should be between Schulte and Kaye Scholer. I'd expect both to give you better exit opportunities than Seward would. B/w Schulte and Kaye Scholer, go where you like the people better. Also, although Schulte does a lot of corporate, it also does some pretty interesting litigation.Anonymous User wrote:You think Seward and Schulte are basically the same?

Just a quick question, but when did you hear from Dechert, and when did you have your CB with them?Anonymous User wrote:Would any of your decisions change if you had Dechert to consider, too?

Re: Schulte, Kaye Scholer, Seward & Kissel, or Dechert
In 2009, Dechert was accused of trying to “trade-up” to better first-year associates by postponing offer announcements for half of the summer class to January 2010, while still participating in 3L OCI. In the end, the firm-wide offer rate for the 2009 summer class was slightly over 60%. The firm split up the incoming Class of 2009 associates to start on three different dates: Fall 2009, March 2010 ($17,500 stipend), and Fall 2010 ($75,000 stipend).
