I think this is good news, but I'm sure someone will point out that there are a thousand people in HYS and Columbia's first year classes alone!

The good times are certainly not here again. Top 10-20% and LR at quality schools isn't really safe. Firms may have unnecessarily panicked, and are now "right sizing," but things aren't what they used to be.

Doesn't this sentence actually mean that this is terrible news? While those numbers lag behind reports from August 2009 by more than 14,000 jobs, they still represent an improvement over the previous two months.

The legal sector... so that means 100 new secretarial positions, 200 new legal IT positions, 50 new HR positions, 400 paralegal positions (largest growth area in law), and 250 attorney jobs. Good luck to the 45,000 new law grads.
