What about the other schools?
So I've heard stories about Chicago and Emory being particularly rough this year, but I keep wondering what about the other schools?
Are UIUC and Kent absolutely in the pits if even the mighty Chicago is struggling? Is UGA even worse of than Emory? Any thoughts?

Even if UGA's OCI was as bad as Emory (which seems unlikely given what a bloodbath Emory's seems to have been), it's still not worse, given that UGA costs less to attend (at least for residents).
Unemployed with $80,000 in debt beats unemployed with $180,000 in debt 10 times out of 10, sadly.

A quick peek at the Columbia EIP thread should confirm for everyone that the scambloggers are, indeed, right.

Meh, Emory still put close to 20% of it's class into SA's in 2009 OCI with a measly 29 firms, i'd be surprised if they did any worse, i'd be even more surprised if this year UGA matched that.

Are you sure you're not thinking of the CLASS OF 2009 which did OCI in 2007, when ostensibly many more than 29 firms came to OCI?skoobily doobily wrote:Meh, Emory still put close to 20% of it's class into SA's in 2009 OCI with a measly 29 firms, i'd be surprised if they did any worse, i'd be even more surprised if this year UGA matched that.

Yes. Hmm 20% = about 47 students. What are the other 189 2Ls up to?

University of Maryland (low T1) - plenty of interviews to go around for the top students, I see my fellow law review members in the CDO every day, not a great callback ratio so far (have gotten two at very reputable firms though), after a certain point down the class ranking (15? 20?) its a bloodbath

My school (T25-50) has been exactly as expected. Those in the top 25-30% or better have been getting callbacks, those below top-third are out of luck (at least where biglaw is concerned).

It's been vicious here at GULC. Lots of top third and top 20 types without a single callback, and many with only 1 or 2.
Bad times.
