second thoughts on transferring after seeing interview list?
Anyone in this situation? I just made a big jump after being accepted as a transfer at a T6 from a school in the 80s. I just saw my interviews from my old school and I got 6 V100 in nyc, then 6 other V250 in the school's home market. I have no aspirations of academia or clerking and just want a big law job. Is it worth the extra 25k/yr tuition at the T6?

Six V100s and six NLJ250s is NOTHING compared to what you'll get at a T6. You made the right choice.

Getting more interviews from a lottery gives him more chances to put himself out there and get a job. ITE, I wouldn't sit on six interviews at a T80 and count my eggs before they're out of the bush.bwv812 wrote:Getting more interviews from a lottery doesn't say much about what the firms actually think of him/her; getting preselects says much, much more.RVP11 wrote:Six V100s and six NLJ250s is NOTHING compared to what you'll get at a T6. If OP likes his/her regional market (in case the 6 NYC interviews don't pan out), then that plus the $50k+ in savings isn't a bad reason to stay if the only thing you want is a market-paying job.

But they'll be seeing them at a T6. It comes down to whether he's willing to risk a lifetime of 'what ifs' starting with the possibility of striking out on those 12 interviews after staying.bwv812 wrote:Dude, 6 V100 plus 6 NLJ250 adds up to more than 6. Yes, he could probably score at least 20 at a T6, but some of them might well be wasted at firms that have no interest ITE, and all of them are going to be seeing the exact same 1L grades as those firms at his current school.Kohinoor wrote:Getting more interviews from a lottery gives him more chances to put himself out there and get a job. OP here...all is done. Withdrew from the T80 after getting 24 NYC interviews through T6 lottery. It should be the right choice.
