"Alternate" Interview

Post by jallen926 » Thu Jul 29, 2010 12:10 pm

Has anyone had any experience with getting chosen for an "alternate" interview? Does anyone know how common it is to actually get chosen when you are an alternate? FYI, there is only 1 interview spot left and the pre-select sign up doesn't end until Saturday.

Based on my experience and anecdotal information, it seems pretty common, but it definitely depends on the job fair and firm. It's also probably a lot rarer ITE. If you're selected as an alternate, you can try emailing the firm separately to see if they will schedule you to meet their interviewer during lunch or breaks.
