1L summer internship - PI

Post by Teoeo » Thu Jul 22, 2010 6:06 am

I am interested in employment law (public interest side) and I was just wondering what type of summer internships are available for 1Ls. I am assuming that agencies such as the NLRB/DOL/EEOC are probably swamped with 2Ls, so my guess is that I should stick with legal aid type stuff? I know there is a workers discrimination clinic in DC that I'll probably apply to but any insight would be awesome.

P.S. I am a 0L I am just trying to make a list of places now so I don't have to worry about it during finals =)

You likely won't have to worry about this stuff during finals anyway. Most PI hiring is done in January or later. If you want, right now check out pslawnet.org and get some ideas, but don't worry about other stuff until winter break.
