Columbus Firms

Post by tome » Tue Jul 20, 2010 4:43 pm

Does anyone know of any small firms in Columbus with good reputations? I know there must be some, but I can't seem to find any.

Although any input anyone has on the relative strengths of firms in Columbus (bit or small) would be appreciated.

I think it is entirely possible that there are no prestigious Columbus firms. It is a tiny market and I doubt a lot of interesting work goes on there.

Though the market for firm jobs in Columbus is relatively modest I would suggest the following firms based on my limited experience in this particular market:

Jones Day (Columbus - approx. 70 lawyers)
Vorys Sater (200+ lawyers, largest firm in Columbus) - ranked in Vault Top 100 as recently as 2009
Squire, Sanders, and Dempsey (Columbus Office - approx. 80 lawyers) - ranked 98th by Vault 2011
Baker and Hostetler (Columbus Office approx. 70 lawyers) - ranked 86th by Vault 2011
Porter, Wright, Morris, and Arthur (approx. 150 lawyers) strong in Ohio
