Can anyone at all help me with what firms a Chicago T2 transfer should be bidding on in Chicago after transferring to a top 10 firm? I've heard that I shoulnd't be bidding on the most prestigious firms and should check out the largest summer classes with the most offers, etc. but am simply not familiar with firms.
Just from above the law, I have heard about Latham, Skadden, I obviously know Kirkland and Ellis, but thats seriously about it. Sorry for being so clueless here, I just seriously want a firm job next summer and don't want to find out after the fact that I bid on ALL the wrong firms and interviewed at places where I didn't have a shot. No real practice area preference.
