secondary journal or internship?
Accepted to secondary journal last week, but I would prefer to work during my 2L year in order to maintian/increase contacts (not ranked in top of class). I know I can do both, but am unsure of how the work load would be. Anyone have experience with a similiar situation? Do employers even care about secondary journals anyway?

I would guess not. I think secondary journals make most sense (for purposes of securing employment) if you have grades to get the types of jobs for which journal membership is preferred (biglaw, clerkships).Anonymous User wrote:(not ranked in top of class)
Actual employment/internship will probably give you a better shot of getting a job compared to the journal membership. You will make more contacts with attorneys.
