Texas Big Law Firms

Post by wannabealonghorn » Thu Jun 24, 2010 11:55 pm

Since OCI bidding is coming up, I was hoping to get some information on firms in Texas (Texas based firms and other firms that have decent size office(s) in TX). Obviously, I checked out NALP and Chambers for some information, but if there is anything anyone can add, I think it would be beneficial to people who are bidding in TX. These are large firms in TX that I could think of.

Information I think that would be helpful are:
-Billing Hours
-Firm Culture
-Hiring Criteria
-% of SA that are offered full time positions, etc.

I think the list below covers most of the large firms in TX.

V&E
Baker Botts
Fulbright & Jaworski
Haynes and Boone
Bracewell & Giuliani
Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld
Andrews Kurth
Hunton & Williams
Jackson Walker
Jones Day
K&L Gates
Locke Lord
Strasburger & Price
Thompson & Knight
Weil, Gotshal & Manges
