3.95 at Fordham...where should I bid?
Title says it all. I know nothing about firms but want to work in BigLaw in NYC. Chances of getting an offer and hired after summering and a stable firm are my highest criteria.

What rank is that? Assuming no massive grade inflation at Fordham, if you're like top 5-10% you should probably check out V20 firms.
Since you're interested in stability, check out nalpdirectory.com for last summer's offer rates. Stay away from the ones that aren't in the 90s.

Top 10% was about a 3.57 for last year's 1L class. Two students in the last graduating class were summa cum laude. The GPA required was 3.894. (We don't have much grade inflation. Note that the GPA required to graduate top 10% was slightly higher than the 1L figure, however.) I don't know where OP ought to bid, but wherever he/she does, things will go well. OP could be #1 in our class, and is certainly in the top few students.dbt wrote:What rank is that? From last year's 1L class:
10% 3.57
25% 3.38
33% 3.31
50% 3.19

That's probably #1 in the class. That means every firm that comes to OCI is in play, and perhaps quite a few that don't.
Any V10 will virtually guarantee an offer at the end of the summer unless you do something extremely stupid.
