What are the Fed and DC firm opportunities for a T6 in Top 30%? I assume W&C, Wilmer, Covington are out?

Re: T6
W&C and Covington are probably out, but not so far out that it would be a waste of an OCI bid if you have room. I'm not sure Wilmer is out, I never got the impression that they're nearly as selective as Covington or W&C.Anonymous User wrote:What are the Fed and DC firm opportunities for a T6 in Top 30%? i'm also at a t6 with a 3.7ish, also aiming for DC market. What are the reqs for covington or other comparable firms in DC?

Re: T6
Most likely. Based on info in other threads (3.3 median, 3.62 top-10%), a 3.86 on a normal distribution would be between 1-2%, which is good enough to grade on (and get Pomeroy).Anonymous User wrote:I'm a 3.86...I'm assuming thats prob not good enough to get pomeroy but would i have graded onto LR?(I didnt do the writing comp)
But it's no guarantee because there's more volatility at the top of the curve year-to-year than at median and because, with only 450 of us, the GPA distribution won't be a perfect bell curve. It's possible 20 students have 4.0s.

Re: T6
Last year, 3.9 was good enough for Pomeroy. At the very least, 3.86 is close.

Re: T6
If you have a 3.7, you have a shot at every firm in DC. That doesn't mean you'll definitely get it (W&C hired nobody from CLS last year), but you have a shot and it's worth a bid spot.Anonymous User wrote:to tag onto this:
