Does anyone know of a Biglaw Summer Associate who is blogging on what things are like on a day to day basis? That would be pretty sweet.

A little bit (okay, a lot) different from what you are asking, but if you are interested in an SA blog, you would probably enjoy the book Anonymous Lawyer by Jeremy Blachman. Very insightful and funny fiction book which is written in the guise of a big law partner sending e-mails and writing blogs about his daily life.

Horrible idea, as inevitably the blog would come back to bite the summer in the ass. Promoting one's self as a SA is generally the wrong way to go. See, e.g., "Mr. Chuck" from Mayer Brown. My suggestion: hand in quality, polished work; attend social events; meet deadlines; dress reasonably; don't be an ass; show some initiative. Other than those things, keep your head down and stay out of the limelight.
